Mini Open 650 #433

BJ owns what was Corentin Douguet's 2005 Transat 650 winning prototype - the Samuel Manuard designed #433.

"My boat #433 beat me into 4th place in the 2004 Mini Fastnet when I formerly owned the prototype #348.  433 has won more Mini Fastnets (3) than most and still holds the 8.2-knot average course record for the 4,200-nautical mile race from France to Brazil.  I have to live up to her reputation on the dance floor!"

And a Slovenian sister-ship from the same hull mould held the Class Mini 24-hour mileage record of 300-nautical miles in 24-hours!"

Sparkman Stephens S&S 34

Our 'homes' are sister-ship Sparkman & Stephens 34's.  Besides our base of operations - they are our partners for the upcoming RTW performances!

The design debuted in 1969 when Bristish Prime Minister Sir Edward Heath won the Sydney Hobart Race. She then went on to became the first yacht to 'double-circumnavigate' the world nonstop with Australian Jon Sanders in 1982.  In later years, Australian David Dicks, Jesse Martin and Jessica Watson all sailed youngest nonstop solo circumnavigations aboard their own S&S 34's !
